Veneers Near Me
If you are looking for ways to enhance your smile, you may want to consider porcelain veneers. These restorations can transform worn, misshapen, broken, discolored, or imperfect teeth, leaving you with a beautiful, natural smile. In just a few appointments, your smile will dazzle in a way you never thought possible!
What Are Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are wafer-thin custom-made sheaths designed to bond to the visible portions of your teeth changing their color, shape, size, or length, and improving their appearance. Veneers are mainly intended for cosmetic purposes. However, in some cases, they work to correct dental problems such an uneven bite, similar to dental crowns.
Veneers are made of dental ceramic, which mimics the light reflecting properties of natural teeth and provides strength and resilience comparable to your tooth enamel, delivering incredibly natural-looking results. They are not susceptible to tooth decay and are stain-resistant. Porcelain veneers are color-matched to your natural teeth, allowing them to blend in with your smile. With proper care, they can last between 10 and 15 years or, in some cases, up to 20 years.
What Problems Can Veneers Correct?
If your smile has any imperfections including discolored, gapped, chipped, cracked, crooked, misaligned, or misshaped teeth or ones that are worn down due to chronic teeth grinding, a condition known as bruxism, chances are that veneers are right for you. We will work with you to determine the best way to achieve the smile you’ve always desired.
Placing Your Veneers
The procedure will typically require two appointments. Local anesthesia is usually not needed when placing your veneers. During your first visit, we will prepare your teeth by removing a very thin layer of your enamel to allow for the space needed for your new restorations. Next, we take an impression of your tooth which our dental laboratory will use to custom-prepare your veneer. In the meantime, will fit you with temporary veneers to protect your teeth.
During your second visit, we will place your permanent veneers and will check for a perfect fit and contour. We will make any adjustments needed; then we will bond your new restorations to your teeth. A curing light may be required to help the veneers attach to your tooth structure.
